August was probably my favorite month of the entire summer. Robert finally got a little break from school, about 2 weeks, and my baby sis came home from her mission.
Wowzers, I am so behind on my blogging. I think that means we have had an amazing summer. Luckily, we are watching LOTR’s and I like to blog while we watch it.
#Goals. Seriously though, I want to be just like my grandparents. Grandpa Rodney and Grandma Eunice have the best 4th of July style. They are so festive and adorable.
The summer is flying by and I am not quite sure how I feel about it. The other day I realized that every single weekend in July is booked with more than one activity. I had a little breakdown because I want to soak up every minute of summer and not feel rushed or pressured to be at “things.”
So this month I am saying no to the things I just don’t have time to go to, I am soaking up every ray of sunlight, and I am enjoying summer.
Hello Hello and happy summer! Is it even summer yet? I could Google it, but I don’t want to. This month has been a month of change! Robert started his PA program and I am getting used to him studying all.the.time.
Robert’s parent’s left on their mission to Hawaii a few weeks ago and their farewell was on Mother’s Day. All of our husbands bought us Lei’s. They were beautiful and I loved mine.
Happy May everyone. I love the month of May because it always meant school was out and it was time for swimming, reading and playing in the sun. This year is a bit weird because Robert actually started school in May. Crazy, huh? Goodbye swimming for him.
April was a wonderful month because it was my birthday month. It also warmed up so we were able to do more things outside. The flowers were blooming and everyday we would check on our little flowers to see if they had bloomed yet.
And we had delicious food. I found this recipe for homemade green sauce. I usually buy the bottled stuff, but it has a bunch of things in it that I don’t want in my body like MSG and such. So I decided to make my own.
When we threw my sister-in-law a baby shower we got to hang out with the Rasmussen family and it was so much fun.
Grandpa and Ben.
A few weeks ago TeAnna and I threw our sister-in-law a baby shower. She has two boys and this baby is her first girl. This called for a very pink and a very purple baby shower. It is also completely okay in society to have more than one baby shower. I feel like celebrating a new life is one of the best celebrations.
We went to my parents ward for the first time in forever in March over Easter weekend. LaRea taught the lesson and she used a few quotes from Karli! She comes home in 4 months!!!! Ahhhhh!!!
Our credit card company emailed us and said, We’ve noticed you travel a lot. Here’s how you can get more points.” Well that credit card email sums up our February and March to a T.
We went on our cruise at the beginning of February. You can read about our ports here and here. In the beginning of March we drove to Yuma, Arizona to hang out with my grandparents who are snowbirds. We stayed there a week. We got home and that weekend we went canyoneering in Moab. We got home on Saturday and on Monday we went to beaver to help Robert’s parents before they leave on their mission.
March is slightly a blur because of all of our “adventures”. Just kidding, I can’t call them adventures because we didn’t pan for any gold; I will call them trips.
We went everywhere in February, but my favorite place was going to the Provo City Center Temple Open house. Robert and I are models.
