35 Weeks Pregnant

You guys! I am 35 weeks pregnant. I am so close. I can’t believe it. I am so grateful and excited. I would like to say I’m ready, but are you ever ready? We have been getting prepared. I have 2 baby showers next week and I feel so blessed and loved. This little girl is very loved by a lot of people. I am excited to meet her.

I have been reading a ton of delivery stories and every.single.time I cry my eyes out. I’m also really into mommy Youtube channels right now. I try not to read the ones that freak me out, but I’m also the type of person who likes to know things. I know each birth story is different, but I want to be…prepared.

If you have a birth story please link it in the comments, I would love to read it.

Doctors: I now go to my doctor every week. Next week I know things will start to get serious. I think that’s when he will start checking dilation. So far everything is going really well. Baby and I have been blessed with a healthy pregnancy.

On my mind: I just had a friend announce she is pregnant and I have so much on my brain about this. I might blog about my experience more. Maybe add some tips and must-haves. Plus, I hope to do this again in the future and I don’t know how I’ll remember how it was or what helped.

Best moment of this week: My Grandma Eunice helped me wash a bunch of clothes for Baby Girl W. It was so cute and special.

Miss anything: Really exercising. Last year I was running up to 10 miles a week and lifting weights. I worked out more at the beginning of my pregnancy and I still try and walk and lift a little bit, but it’s just not the same.

Maternity Clothes: I just bought a maternity robe and I never take it off. I am going to live in it forever.

Food cravings: Okay, I have to talk about this. I have not had any REAL food cravings. But I crave dirt so badly. I know my mom was the same way. And I want to eat soaps like dish soap and laundry detergent. Don’t worry I don’t give into any of these. But if something smells dirty I want to lick it. I talked to my doctor and I guess this is normal and my iron levels are normal. I just chew on a lot of ice.

Weight: I haven’t wanted to share my weight gained on here because I feel like as women we compare way too much. Every body is different and every pregnancy is different. But I did want to say that I am at a very healthy weight and I am not worried about it. I have been gaining weight steadily. However, Robert and I just got back from living with my parents for a month. And my dad was so sweet and fed us ice cream every single night. I also ate a ton of Mexican food at my favorite restaurant. So it may have increased a lot more this past month. Haha! It is tough walking with extra weight, it’s especially hard on my back, but it will be worth it.

Looking forward to: I am most excited to see Robert with our little baby girl this week. I keep thinking about it. He is such a cute dad already. He loves talking to baby girl and whenever she moves he just wants to feel her kicks and wiggles.

Have I told you that I am due the Sunday that starts Roberts finals week? Yup, so I am due on a Sunday and finals are Monday-Friday. It will be an experience for sure. We are excited to see what happens. I have no idea when I’ll actually have this baby. But she will come when she comes.
